FAQ

I am unable to upgrade to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8.0 on my Satellite L850D (PSDGEA-XXXXXX)

Issue:
Windows 8.1 may fail to install and display an error (0xC100101-0x30018)

Cause:
Realtek Wireless Driver causes an error during the update.

Solution:
Uninstall the Realtek Wireless LAN Driver in Device Manager before installing the Windows 8.1 Update.
If an Ethernet LAN Internet connection is not available, download the Windows 8.1 update via the Windows Store using a Wireless Internet connection, then uninstall the Realtek Wireless LAN driver before Windows reboots into Windows 8.1.
