You may find that when trying to connect to your Wave C*nnect network that you get the error “There was an error when trying to connect” or the connection simply doesn’t establish.
You may find that this is occurring as the APN for Wave C*nnect isn’t available on your computer; if this is the case then you will need to update your Toshiba Wireless Manager and your 3G modem drivers. Instructions on how to do this can be found below.

Update 3G modem driver
1. Go to www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/downloads.
2. Enter your computer’s model number and select Submit.
3. This will show a list of drivers that will be available to download to your computer.
4. Download the item labelled “3G Ericsson Driver (For 3G Model Only) Supports Auto Detection of Wave Connect SIM”.
5. If asked to run or Save this file select Run.
6. Follow the prompts to install your driver.
Update Toshiba Wireless Manager
1. Go to www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/downloads.
2. Enter your computer’s model number and select Submit.
3. This will show a list of drivers that will be available to download to your computer.
4. Download the item labelled “Toshiba 3G Wireless Manager (for 3G models only) Supports Auto Detection of Wave Connect SIM”.
5. If asked to run or Save this file select Run.
6. Select Yes on the message “Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?”
7. When asked “This setup will perform an upgrade of Toshiba Wireless Manager. Do you want to continue?” select Yes.
8. The Install Shield wizard will now load.
9. When asked select Next to start the installation of the TOSHIBA Wireless Manager.
10. Select Install to begin installation.
11. Your updated TOSHIBA Wireless Manager will now install.
12. Select Finish once the installation is complete.
